Owner & Operator

With over 15 years of experience leading landscape operations across Vancouver. His background includes early training in grounds and facilities maintenance at a local private golf club and also a winter resort, followed by building and scaling a full-service landscape company since 2012. Adam brings a hands on, systems driven approach to site management, with multiple formal certifications across hardscape, artificial turf and green roof systems. A lifelong Vancouver resident with a deep personal connection to BC Children’s Hospital, he is committed to delivering consistent, high-quality environments that reflect the standards expected in critical care facilities.

SAM LEONARD

Territory Manager (Zone 2 & 3)

Bringing nearly 20 years of international landscape experience to the team. Originally from England, where he completed his horticulture diploma, Sam has worked across Australia, New Zealand, and Canada, developing a deep understanding of plant health and large-scale landscape operations. He has successfully led maintenance programs for high-profile commercial sites, including major retail and municipal properties, and is known for building strong teams and delivering consistent, high-quality results. Outside of work, Sam enjoys spending time outdoors with his wife and son Atlas, and has developed a strong connection to the local community since making Vancouver his home.

ANDY SMYTHE

Territory Manager (Zone 1)

A Site Supervisor at Eco with over 10 years of experience in landscape maintenance and softscape installation. Originally from Ireland, Andy has spent the past eight years working in Canada, including leading crews for one of Vancouver’s largest landscape maintenance providers. With formal training in plant health care, irrigation systems, and certified pesticide application, he brings strong technical expertise combined with a hands-on leadership style, preferring to work alongside his crews to ensure consistent quality and ongoing development. Now based in the Pacific Northwest, Andy enjoys spending his time outdoors exploring the region with his fiancée and brings that same appreciation for well-maintained environments into his work.

Crew Leader

A crew Lead at Eco and a graduate of the Horticulture Technology program at Kwantlen Polytechnic University, with a focus on arboriculture and plant health. He brings over five years of hands-on experience in landscape maintenance, including work on municipal and commercial sites, with a strong focus on pruning, bed care, and seasonal operations. Shan is a certified pesticide applicator and a member of the British Columbia Landscape & Nursery Association (BCLNA), and is known for his attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards across the site. Outside of work, he enjoys spending time outdoors and exploring the Pacific Northwest.

A Crew Lead at Eco and has been a key member of the team for over five years. During his time with Eco, he has developed strong hands-on experience across all aspects of landscape maintenance, including equipment operation, trimming, turf care, bed maintenance, and planting. With a background operating a wide range of machinery and a focus on consistent, high-quality execution, Mike plays an important role in supporting daily onsite operations. Outside of work, Mike spends time on his family farm in the Fraser Valley, maintaining a strong connection to land stewardship and outdoor work and supporting his indigenous heritage / community.
